The Steller's Jay is a striking bird with deep blue body feathers, a black crested head, and dark wings and tail. It lives mainly in western North America, especially in forested mountain regions. A well-known fact is its loud, harsh calls. Fun fact: it can cleverly mimic hawk sounds to scare other birds away from food.
