The Northern Pygmy Owl is a small owl species native to North America, particularly found in forests and wooded areas. It has a distinctive gray-brown plumage with white spotting and streaking, and large yellow eyes. These owls are known for their fearless hunting behavior, often taking on prey larger than themselves. A fun fact about the Northern Pygmy Owl is that despite their small size, they are fierce predators and are capable of taking down birds and mammals much larger than themselves.
