The Long-eared Owl is a slender, secretive owl with mottled brown and tan feathers and striking orange eyes, plus long ear-tuft feathers that give it its name. It lives across North America, Europe, and parts of Asia. A well-known fact is that it roosts in dense trees by day. Fun fact: winter roosts can contain dozens of owls together.
