The Hyacinth Macaw is a striking parrot with vivid cobalt-blue feathers and bright yellow skin around its eyes and beak. Native to central and eastern South America, especially Brazil’s wetlands, it is the largest flying parrot species. A well-known fact is its powerful beak for cracking hard palm nuts. Fun fact: many Hyacinth Macaws form lifelong pair bonds.
