The Green Heron is a small wading bird found in wetland areas of North and Central America. It has a striking greenish-blue coloring on its back and wings, with a chestnut-colored neck and a dagger-like bill. Commonly known for its stealthy hunting behavior, the Green Heron patiently waits to ambush prey by the water's edge. A fun fact about the Green Heron is that it's one of the few bird species known to use tools, such as baiting fish with objects like bread crusts or insects.
