The Ecuadorian Hillstar is a small hummingbird with iridescent green feathers on its back and head, contrasted by a white belly. Found in the high-altitude regions of Ecuador's Andes Mountains, it is the only hummingbird species known to regularly visit high-elevation grasslands. A fun fact about this bird is that it has specially adapted feet that allow it to walk on the ground, unlike most hummingbirds.
