The Costa's Hummingbird is a small bird found in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. It has iridescent violet plumage on its head and back, with a white underbelly. Commonly known for its distinctive buzzing sound during flight, this bird is also known for its long, slender bill adapted for feeding on nectar. A fun fact about the Costa's Hummingbird is that the male performs elaborate aerial displays during courtship, including high-speed dives and U-shaped flights.
