Purple Finch

The Purple Finch is a small songbird with a raspberry-red head and chest in males, while females display brown-streaked plumage. Found across northern and eastern North America, it’s known for its cheerful warbling song. It is the state bird of New Hampshire. Despite its name, it's more red than purple. Fun fact: it often mimics other birds’ songs.
