Stonechat

The stonechat, a small and lively songbird, is known for its striking plumage—males display a black head, white collar, and warm orange chest, while females are more muted in color. Found across Europe, North Africa, and Asia, this bird is often seen perched on shrubs. A commonly known fact is that its call resembles the sound of stones clicking together. A fun fact: stonechats are highly territorial and will fiercely defend their nesting sites.
