Wire-crested Thorntail Hummer

The wire-crested thorntail hummer is a dazzling hummingbird with a green and bronze body, a long forked tail, and a striking wiry crest atop its head. Found in the Andean foothills of South America, it’s known for its rapid flight. A fun fact: males perform incredible aerial displays to attract mates.
