Golden-crowned Kinglet

The golden-crowned kinglet is a tiny songbird with olive-gray plumage, striking black-and-white stripes on its head, and a brilliant golden crown bordered by black. Found across North America’s forests, it’s known for its high-pitched calls. Fun fact: despite its size, this bird can survive freezing temperatures by huddling together for warmth.
