Little Ringed Plover

The Little Ringed Plover is a small wader bird, characterized by its distinctive black and white head pattern, a brown back, and white underparts. It inhabits parts of Europe, Asia, and North Africa, often found near freshwater bodies. A commonly known fact about this bird is its preference for sandy and gravelly shores for nesting. A fun fact about the Little Ringed Plover is that it often uses a “broken-wing” display to distract predators from its nest.
