Roadrunner

The roadrunner is a distinctive bird found in the southwestern United States and parts of Mexico. Known for its mottled brown and white plumage, it has a long, slender body and a distinctive crest on its head. The Greater Roadrunner is the state bird of New Mexico. A commonly known fact about the roadrunner is its incredible speed, capable of running up to 20 miles per hour to catch prey. A fun fact about the roadrunner is that it can also fly short distances despite its preference for running.
