Cardinal (Male)

The male Cardinal, known for its vibrant red plumage and distinctive crest, is a common sight in North America, particularly in the eastern and central regions. The Northern Cardinal is the state bird of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia. Cardinals are known for their beautiful song, which they use to communicate with their mates. A fun fact about Cardinals is that they are monogamous birds and often mate for life.
